The audience comes into a dark room.

On a monitor they see images of dust illuminated by a shaft of light.

The television is connected, by a long cable, to a camera hung high on the wall, behind the audience.

The camera is set to shoot the dust illuminated by a spot-light.

The camera is actually fake, and so is the connection. What we see on the monitor are not the images of that dust but those coming from the video recording broadcast by the video-recorder.

The writings appearing every twenty seconds on the video (in Italian and English) make clear and inform us about our perceptive misunderstanding.

Lo spettatore entra in una stanza buia.

Su un monitor si vedono immagini di polvere illuminata da un fascio di luce.

Il televisore è collegato,per mezzo di un cavo,ad una telecamera fissata in alto, al muro, alle spalle dello spettatore.

La telecamera è posizionata a riprendere la polvere illuminata da una luce spot.

In realtà la telecamera è finta, così come il collegamento. Le immagini che vediamo sul monitor non sono di quella polvere ma quelle provenienti dalla registrazione video trasmessa dal videoregistratore.

Le scritte che appaiono ogni venti secondi nel video ci informano e permettono di svelare il nostro equivoco percettivo.
