The English term 'kinkiness' describes a range of unconventional sexual practices, and for many it is often also the way in which one voluntarily decides to 'interpret' one's own existence. This theme, as in the exhibition of the same title presented in the last season of (S)exhibitions, is explored aesthetically, intellectually and playfully.
Il termine inglese ‘kinkiness’, descrive una gamma di pratiche erotiche non convenzionali, e per molti è spesso anche il modo in cui si decide volontariamente di ‘interpretare’ la propria esistenza. Tale tematica, come nelle precedenti due mostre dallo stesso titolo, presentate nella scorse stagioni delle (S)exhibitions, è sondata esteticamente, intellettualmente e giocosamente, attraverso le opere di nove artist* della Collezione OGA.
Katarzyna Bak (Włoszczowa, Poland, 1974) studied at the Faculty of Art Education in Czestochowa, Poland, specialising in lithography. After graduating, she moved to Italy, where she works as an artist and art designer. Since 1996, she has exhibited her works in various solo and group exhibitions in Poland, Belgium, England, Ukraine, Germany and Italy. The question of identity, accompanied by constant reflection on the relationship between our soul, our body and the world around us, appears central in several cycles of works created in recent years.
Kris De Meester (Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, ????) is a director, producer and casting director. He started his career in 1990, taking on different roles with many of the film industry’s finest. His video in the exhibition, immerses viewers in a captivating exploration of the aftermath of a traumatic breakup. The protagonist, driven to erase the other person from their existence, finds themselves exiled to a chilling and unfamiliar realm. As they confront the relentless echoes of their pain, the boundaries between reality and imagination blur, creating a surreal and introspective experience.
Werther Germondari (Rimini, Italy, 1963) Visual artist, performer and filmmaker. Interested in innovative experimental dynamics that are neo-conceptual and situational, characterized by a taste for the ironic and surreal, Germondari has experimented for 35 years through many different expressive media (from painting to installations, photography to film, videos to live performance). Germondari's works have also been shown in solo exhibitions where he focuses on hidden elements highlighted in styles. In 2013 he founded the Ospizio Giovani Artisti.
Micheal Knoten (Fratiskovy Lazne, Czech Republic, 1984) works as a laborer in metal production. He has devoted himself to artistic creation since childhood. "In the course of my life, inspired by my surroundings, I began a sincerely misanthropic artistic path, exploring the dark sides of the human soul." For more than ten years, he has devoted himself to digital photography and graphic design, following the principles of pictorialism. He has had many solo exhibitions, and has many audiovisual collaborations for extreme metal bands to his credit.
Morgana Mayer (Hamburg, Germany, 1977) worked in the world of documentaries and music videos. In her video in the exhibition a woman enjoys her pleasure "playing" with video cameras.
Lily Rinae (Taichung, Taiwan, 1986). Lily’s passion goes beyond the camera - she wants to transport the audience to her world through this medium. Currently Lily finished a future documentary "Born Balearic" in Ibiza, Spain. The movie is nominated 12 film festivals and won "Best Sound feature" in Indie Memphis, and "Best Cinematography" in Madrid. Her strong passion is making movie about music and....BDSM. The time COVID-19, she moves back to her original country Tokyo and follows her real passion. The videos focused on their physical expression of passion and emotion.
Florindo Rilli (Cagli, Italy, 1962) starts in the 90s his photographic research. Concentrating on the body, he enjoys playing with it and making it so versatile that most of the time it is both subject and object of representation. Interesting is also the relationship that manages to create with contemporary dance and theater in general. Other experiences come when she faces the perverse world of fetish, often adopting the technique of bondage to fragment the body and make it more explorable. Numerous participations in solo and group exhibitions.
Matthias Von Braun (????, ?????, 1982) is an award-winning dark surrealist filmmaker. His short films have been screened at renowned art galleries, and film festivals around the world. His video Machine is a dark surreal nightmare set deep underground in a post-human automated factory where a bio-mechanical android bursts from her artificial fetal sac. She discovers her body and rejects her sexuality. The other video, ‘Impenetrable’, is a dark surreal short film featuring Arthur Griffiths and Lilith Newson.
Wild Cat (??????, Italy, 1986) is a queer and trans activist that live in Berlin. For several years now, Wild Cat has been using her body for political activism, for example: through impromptu actions at queer and feminist demonstrations, where she writes political messages inherent to transfeminist and queer struggles on her half- naked body. Wild Cat and Werther Germondari made several short films (many still unreleased), where they tried to tackle these issues with the lightness of comedy.

Katarzyna Bak (Włoszczowa, Polonia, 1974) ha studiato presso la Facoltà di Educazione Artistica di Czestochowa in Polonia, specializzandosi in litografia. Dopo la laurea si è trasferita in Italia, dove lavora come artista e art designer. Dal 1996 ha esposto le sue opere in varie mostre personali e collettive in Polonia, Belgio, Inghilterra, Ucraina, Germania e Italia. La questione identitaria, accompagnata da una costante riflessione sul rapporto tra la nostra anima, il nostro corpo e il mondo che ci circonda, appare centrale in diversi cicli di opere realizzate negli ultimi anni.
Kris De Meester (Sint-Niklaas, Belgio, ????) è un regista, produttore e direttore del casting. Ha iniziato la sua carriera nel 1990, ricoprendo diversi ruoli. Il suo video in mostra, immerge gli spettatori in un'affascinante esplorazione delle conseguenze di una rottura traumatica. Il protagonista, spinto a cancellare l'altra persona dalla propria esistenza, si ritrova esiliato in un mondo agghiacciante e sconosciuto. Mentre affrontano gli echi implacabili del loro dolore, i confini tra realtà e immaginazione si confondono, creando un'esperienza surreale e introspettiva.
Werther Germondari (Rimini, 1963) Artista visivo, performer e filmmaker. Attento a dinamiche innovative sperimentali neo-concettuali che si caratterizzano per un gusto ironico e surreale, svolge dai primi anni ottanta una ricerca attraverso numerosi media espressivi. Ha partecipato a esposizioni in gallerie private e spazi sperimentali internazionali, alternando installazioni d’ambiente, videowork e atti performativi, focalizzando l’attenzione su elementi nascosti, attinenti a una visione reale, sociale e politica. Nel 2013 ha ideato l’Ospizio Giovani Artisti.
Micheal Knoten (Fratiskovy Lazne, Repubblica Ceca, 1984) lavora come operaio nella produzione del metallo. Si dedica alla creazione artistica dall’infanzia. “Nel corso della mia vita, ispirato dall’ambiente circostante, ho iniziato un percorso artistico sinceramente misantropico, che esplora i lati oscuri dell’anima umana”. Da oltre dieci anni si dedica alla fotografia digitale e alla grafica, seguendo i principi del pittorialismo. Ha realizzato molte mostre personali, e ha al suo attivo molte collaborazioni audiovisive per band di metal estremo.
Morgana Mayer (Amburgo, Germania, 1977) ha lavorato nel mondo dei documentari e dei video musicali. Nel suo video in mostra una donna si diverte a "giocare" con delle telecamere.
Florindo Rilli (Cagli, 1962) dagli anni 90 inizia la sua ricerca fotografica. Concentrandosi sul corpo si diverte a giocare e renderlo così versatile da risultare il più delle volte soggetto e insieme oggetto della rappresentazione. Interessante è anche il rapporto che riesce a creare con la danza contemporanea e il teatro in genere. Sperimenta anche nel mondo del fetish, adottando spesso e volentieri la tecnica del bondage per frammentare il corpo e renderlo così segmentato più esplorabile. Numerose le sue partecipazioni a mostre personali e collettive.
Lily Rinae (Taichung, Taiwan, 1986) La passione di Lily va oltre la telecamera, vuole trasportare il pubblico nel suo mondo attraverso questo mezzo. Il suo ultimo documentario, "Born Balearic" realizzato ad Ibiza, è stato nominato in 12 festival di cinema e ha vinto il premio "Best Sound feature" all’Indie Memphis, e il premio per la migliore fotografia al festival di Madrid. La sua grande passione è fare film sulla musica e... il BDSM. A causa della pandemia è tornata di nuovo Tokyo, la città in cui è crescita. I suoi video si concentrano sull’espressione fisica e la passione emotiva.
Matthias Von Braun (????, ?????, 1982) è un pluripremiato regista dark surrealista. I suoi cortometraggi sono stati proiettati in importanti gallerie d'arte e festival cinematografici di tutto il mondo. Il suo video ‘Machine’ è un incubo surreale ambientato nel sottosuolo di una fabbrica automatizzata post-umana, dove un'androide bio-meccanica esce dal suo sacco fetale artificiale. Scopre il suo corpo e rifiuta la sua sessualità. L'altro video, ‘Impenetrable’, è un cortometraggio surreale e oscuro con Arthur Griffiths e Lilith Newson.
Wild Cat (??????, Italia, 1986) è un'attivista queer e trans che vive a Berlino. Da diversi anni usa il suo corpo per l'attivismo politico, ad esempio attraverso azioni improvvisate in occasione di manifestazioni queer e femministe, dove scrive sul suo corpo seminudo e a seno nudo messaggi politici inerenti alle lotte transfemministe e queer. Wild Cat e Werther Germondari hanno realizzato insieme diversi cortometraggi, molti ancora inediti, cercando di affrontare questi temi con la leggerezza della commedia.
